Street Fighter IV

Exciting news for Street Fighter junkies! News is slowly trickling out about the upcoming addition to the franchise, Street Fighter IV. It has been 10 years since SF III and while there is no release date for SF IV, hopefully the wait will not be too much longer.
Though the screenshot doesn't answer this question outright, we can confirm that the game's graphics are polygonal but the gameplay is strictly 2D. There will be new moves, locations, and gameplay features, while the standard six button control scheme remains. Ryu and Ken return along with Chun-Li and Dhalsim, but beyond that the character roster is a mystery.
You can view Capcom's trailer for the game, unfortunately there is no video of in-game play.

SF3: Third Strike was really good, I had it for PS2. I think we played it a bit in 2003. Controls, gameplay and characters were excellent. I remember having to buy it online because no one plays SF anymore. Anyway, I just hope the new version has online play... good online play. Not like the laggy shit found for SFII in xbox live arcade. I may be asking for too much though.. Posted by: ryan at December 6, 2007 5:48 PM |

After SF2, I gotta go with SF Alpha 2 EX+ for my favorite Street Fighter. If they made guitar hero not laggy, they could make SF2 not laggy. (right?) Posted by: polamex at December 7, 2007 7:10 PM |
