The match-o-matic asks you to give your opinion on a number of topics including the war, domestic issues, health care and taxes. Your answers are compared to the positions of the current candidates (based on campaign speeches and debates) and the three closest matches are displayed.

The key to this is "based on speeches and debates". They'll say anything to get elected. As an example, John McCain says he pro-life. I don't consider him to be. George Bush says he's for imigration reform. His record does not show he supports meaningful reform...just random examples i could go on and on. I'm sure the same discrepancies exist if you are searching for a "true" liberal from among the Democrats. It's fun to do, though, but I would never rely on this to choose your candidate! I was going to suggest we replace voting machines with these fun quizzes! I think we would have more young voters turn out if the process was more like taking a cosmo quiz. Posted by: ryan at November 13, 2007 9:27 AM |

Gravel?? Kucinich?? You don't seem that crazy. Dammit, I'm going to take this thing now. Oh...and just what America needs, an influx of absolutely clueless and easily manipulated voters...lol...hang on i'm taking this thing. Posted by: Dude at November 14, 2007 8:21 AM |

1) Thompson 2) Romney 3) Paul The questions were incomplete and some did not even provide me with an option that representated my views. Thompson and Romney are also disingenuous about their actual positions which means my #3 choice is my number one. I am actually impressed the Paul came up at all...we disagree on iraq but he still appeared on the list, so that is a few points for the survey in my book! Yeah Gravel was my top. Obama my second. Clinton wasn't my third, but that's probably who I'll vote for. Posted by: polamex at November 15, 2007 9:50 PM |

Aw come on, she's a woman...isn't that reason enough to vote for her? And they are being so mean to her after all, asking her all those awful hard questions. I'm just feeling bad for her being picked on by the boys like that. **Post Note: I will now turn my brain back on. Thanks for tuning in to this neural short circuit. If you are reading this and actually thought I was serious. Please leave the country immediately. Thank you! ** Posted by: Dude at November 16, 2007 8:25 AM |

She would be awesome at her job. In the end I care about how well they can run our country, not how they have ran thier personal lives in the past. Posted by: polamex at November 16, 2007 10:37 PM |

I have no problems with her personal life, I do have problems with her history of shady money dealings and business deals. Posted by: ryan at November 16, 2007 10:43 PM |
