Not mentioned in the spectacular quarterly sales results Apple released Monday was a stunning fact: Nearly 18 percent of iPhones sold in the past four months can't be accounted for.

I don't know why they say that Apple didn't mention this -- they mentioned it during the conference call announcing the earnings. I was surprised by the number though.. that is a lot of unlocked phones out there. Apple has to begin selling unlocked phones by law in France when they launch the iPhone there.
