Full Burqas on ebay

Posted by polamex at 05:52 PM in religion . | 13 Comments

From wikipedia: "The full burqa includes a 'net curtain', which also hides the wearer's eyes. A burqa is somewhat similar to the abaya often worn in Saudi Arabia, and the chador often worn in Iran. During the Taliban's reign in Afghanistan, women were required to wear a full burqa."

Apparently spit can get through the blue one's "net curtain".

What the hell made you look up burqas on Wikipedia?

I can kind of understand looking it up on Wikipedia, but why eBay?

TV here had a documentary about "The Bagdad Sniper". Fuckin' pissed me off to see the fuckin' video. Sick shit. I can barely pay attention to current events anymore.
The reference to Wiki reminded me about it b/c I looked up "Juba" (the name given to him by our solders) there.

I went home and looked at those Danish cartoons. One of them chastised the headscarfs. Then I just kind of kept surfing from there. And I was curious as to the price.

Michael Jackson has been sporting them in Dubai.

Uh oh, you mentioned Dubai.

And no I didn't buy one because I'm saving up for a chastity belt.

That would look so hot under a Burqa.

Great! Now I have to ask you why you looked up chastity belt on eBay?

Posted by: jt at February 26, 2006 10:54 PM

Well I wanted a witty reply to your question of whether or not I bought one, and while I was trying to think of something funny I tried to think of things similar to a chastity belt. Something that represses women, something that is kind of religous maybe... then I thought of a chastity belt. Luckily for my witty reply, someone sells them on ebay.

That is, I tried to think of things similar to a burqa. *sigh*.
