The scoop from Macworld:

- The Powerbook is no more: Introducing the Mac Book Pro with dual core Intel processors. 5x faster than current Powerbooks.

- New dual core iMacs -- 2-3x faster than current G5 iMacs

- New universal remote for iPod with FM Radio capability

Apple used to say that their processors were faster then intels. now they say their intel processors are faster then their old processors...

anyway, its true you need a fast processor to process all the eye-gasm that is osx...

i think many people thought the intels were going to be macs low end, apple fans couldn't admit that 'the other side' had some things right....just like the 2 button mouse...

Well, if the performance metrics ring true, then it was smart to put the new processors in the products they did. You can't have your low end machines blowing your high end machines out of the water.
