Fetching my mail today I found my street full of firetrucks, ambulences and news crews. Turns out a row home collapsed down the street! A month ago they had demolished a bank next door to the home. Not sure if they were excavating the lot when this happened or not. There is no word if anyone is trapped inside, but two residents of the apartments are still unaccounted for.

Yeah I was home but I didn't hear it fall or anything like that. They tore down the house over the past day or so because it was too dangerous to let half of it just stand there. Posted by: ryan at September 15, 2005 12:18 PM |
