Sprouts!

Yesterday, Beth and I went to the community garden to transplant the sunflowers, marigolds, onions, kale, cabbage, and collard greens in to beds. I am happy to report that the carrots, radishes, beets, burdock, parsnips, and salad (mix) have all sprouted. The radishes, pictured on the right, have the largest leaves.
All of the plants looked a little thirsty, but I didn't have the key to the pump. It's supposed to rain all weekend. I hope they survive until then.
P.S. I just bought a telephoto lens on ebay. Hopefully, it will enable me to take better plant pictures.

I need a telephoto lens. Do you have a digital SLR or something? Wouldn't a macro lens be more useful for shooting photos of plants? Posted by: ryan at May 14, 2005 4:28 PM |

There weren't any macro lenses on ebay. I'm going to keep looking for them, though. Kodak came out with this camera, the DC 4800, in 2000, I think, that is amazing. I can set aperture and speed; It has a huge sensor and a great lens. I got it one on ebay for $50. The only thing that sucks about it is the battery life. Posted by: brette at May 15, 2005 10:32 AM |

That's cool you can buy different lesnes for it. I'd love to just be able to double the optical zoom on my digital. Posted by: ryan at May 16, 2005 2:08 PM |
