Olson, the independent camera

Christopher Glaister's Olson camera is an automatic digital camera that you can leave at a party and it pans and rotates discretely, taking images of its surroundings autonomously. Bristling with microphones, the camera "listens" for interesting events such as laughter and spins around to capture images you would miss with a conventional camera.

2 questions:

Would this thing really be discrete? I mean maybe if Christopher Glaister had taped something on it to camoflage it.

And, why did he name it afer those blonde twins from Full House?

Even if you saw it and knew what it was, you would completely forget about it as the night progressed.

It is more discrete than someone getting up in your face with a camera.

I am all about candid shots, so I really like this little device. Even when you are trying to take candid photos, a lot of the time the subject can see you with the camera out of the corner of their eye. Olson here might go a little more unnoticed in those kinds of situations.

When it's on the ground like that, it looks like it would be perfect for taking pictures up girls' skirts. Also a great tool for that scrapbook of pictures that feature the inside of your friends' nostrils.

Or you could put it on a table and get a good perspective on crotches.

I think we may have an answer...
