TRL

Last friday Tracy and I got to live out every 14 year old girl's dream when we were audience to MTV's Total Request Live. A friend of mine at MTV was nice enough to put us on the guest list to friday's show where Gwen Stefani performed live for the first time as a solo act.

It was a fun experience, in fact the fun is enforced with an iron fist. They are very strict about making sure everyone is all smiles and clappy and loud. My hands were sore by the end of the hour.

As an added bonus, at the end of the show they gave all the audience members brand new t-mobile sidekick 2s. Needless to say, it was well worth the trip.

Here are some screen grabs from the show.. you can see us behind the Gwen interview, and behind John Norris delivering some very serious news regarding Jay-Z and R Kelly. In case you don't know us in person we are at the top, I'm wearing pink and Tracy is in blue.

Were you guys the oldest ones in the crowd?

I think there was one guy older than us there.. but I think he may have been there with his daugter. ; )

I think if you averaged out the age of the crowd it would have been somewhere around 16. We went specifically to see Gwen Stefani, and I think there were a few other olderish people there for that same reason.

Hahaha. If I was going to photoshop us into a television show, I'd pick something other than TRL. ; )

I was at TRL too. I didn't see you there. Neither did your gf.

Pink. Outstanding. You're a trifle more pretty-boyish than I'd imagined.

HAHAHAHA...I just looked again and noticed that MOST of the teenie-boppers in the shot with the host look totally pissed off!! They look like they might as well be at the dinner table with their paretns! HAHAHAHA

Is there any equivalent between pink shirts and full length hippie skirts?

You all just wish you could rock the pink shirt like I do.
