Please, stop with the lies and the responses. We are not that stupid. Anyone who watched her MTV show could tell the girl could not sing. The lady helping her could at sing on tune. She does not have a voice. I told my kids that she was lip synching when I watched her. Anybody who sings, which I do and have in all kinds of plays and even live, knows that Ashlee can't sing. She is just trying to make money off of her sister's fame. And as far as her dad's explanation, he is just living off of his kids. But give me a break. I don't want to hear stupid excuses, and act like the public is stupid. Give it up. Let's let people that can sing sell records. If she is so good, put her on American Idol. We all know she wouldn't make it through round 1. Let's hear from Simon.

It was my bands fault!

I did not see the performance, but heard about it. I have always enjoyed to hear Ashlee sing. In my opinion she has a great voice and is overall much more talented and pretty than her sister, Jessica. However, when she is performing live, something just doesn't LOOK right. I know this has nothing to do with all of this but is this family really a good representation of a christian family? Even if Jessica was a virgin until she married she sure has always acted like a harlot. Joe Simpson used to be a youth minister I believe and now can be seen on MTV watching his daughter strip at her husband's birthday party in front of tons of people?!!!!? The mom runs around in pants with the word juicy printed across the rear. I'm CONFUSED!!!! Seems to me Ashlee may be the only one in family with her head on straight. I wish her luck and happiness and hope she realizes that she SHOULD NOT for one second feel she's in her sister's "shadow."
