Where is the polling data? Who did they poll? I don't see any information to back up this argument. Is this all informal polling of audience members? I think this may be an interesting idea, I would just like to see some more data to support the claim.

The Nielsens are a good place to start, but this would be an interesting study for all news scources. The ratings are good, but unreliable polling studies. I think an in depth mass poll would be very intruiging. Things like wealth, education, race, ideology, religion, and occupation would be interesting variables in the context of where people gather their news.

O'Reilly is due to appear on the Daily Show on October 7th. I'm sure he isn't looking forward to getting this thrown back in his face.

He was on Fresh Air a few months ago and freaked out at Terri Gross. The interview is really interesting, because he seems normal for the first 40 min or so and then his just goes crazy and leaves.

I'm shocked that O'Reilly would say such a thing. Shocked because he actually got something right.

I'm rarely sober when I watch the Daily Show. I have also completed four years of college and have a degree that I'm too much of a slacker (i.e. prefer a job that I enjoy) to put to much use.

I heard about that Fresh Air interview where O'Reilly lost it. I'd like to hear it. But! Today on Fresh Air (which I haven't heard yet) was the one and only Jon Stewart! Listen from the link.

Btw, what's so wrong with doing a job that you enjoy... is that slacking because you aren't as efficiently productive a member of this capitalistic society as they deem you capable of being? I think this is the flip side of Ayn Rand.
