Ann Arbor-Astor Cube
Posted by tomo at 09:30 PM in art . | 1 Comments
One of the first things I noticed outside my window when I first moved to Ann Arbor was this giant cube (2400 pounds!) that could be seen spinning at times. It is the twin of a cube at Astor Place in NYC, which was the subject of last Friday's episode of The Next Big Thing (listen online). The one at Astor seems to get a lot more action than the one on campus (although I did see some dudes almost throw down next to it a few months ago). Sometimes I wish my cube had the power to communicate with the Astor cube interdimensionally like a Clive Barker cube or maybe just over the internet. Another thing I thought was "giant Rubik's cube" but somebody's already done that.

there's a giant rubik's cube in toronto that i've seen on top of a building. don't know if it's a permanent fixture or not. Posted by: tracy at September 15, 2004 8:33 AM |
