Real Race in Illinois After all?

It appears my favorite politician Alan Keyes may be taking on Mr. Obama for Illinois Senate. Keyes is interesting because though he is ultra conservative, his passion and sincerity often makes converts. I think he will probably lose in liberal Illinois, but I know if he runs, this will be the most dynamic, real, and interesting U.S. Senate race in the country.
BIO: Keyes has a PhD in government from Harvard University and was one of the U.S. representatives to the United Nations during the Ronald Reagan administration. In the 1990s he became known as an outspoken champion for conservative causes via his radio talk program, The Alan Keyes Show. A Republican, Keyes ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in Maryland in 1988 and 1992 and for U.S. president in 1996 and 2000.

I love Keyes but unfortunatley he will probably never appeal to a very wide audience. He's too 'real' I think for most people. Though I may be wrong, he has a certain charm that can't be denied. Posted by: JT at August 5, 2004 11:57 PM |

Does anybody know where this other conservative came from? I'm not used to having back-up, it's starting to scare me. LOL Posted by: Dude at August 6, 2004 1:53 PM |

I've been here since the beginning bro. I took a little break from posting, but I'm back. Much to the dismay of some. Posted by: JT at August 8, 2004 11:59 PM |
