Create your own US Postage

The US Postal service has a new website where you can upload your own photos to create custom US postage. It runs $16.99 for a sheet (20 stamps), so it isn't cheap, but it is a cool idea.

Hah thats a good way to use that service. I wonder if there are issue in using the prez's likeness. It would be sweet to send out mass mailings bearing this stamp to republicans.

The site has a "all images subject to approval" clause, so I doubt this stamp would pass the cut.

Reminds me of when Nike had a website where you could create custom shoes and the guy tried to order a shoe with "SWEATSHOP" printed on it. Nike refused his order.

The nike thing: Just don't do it.

My favorite part is his final email to Nike.

Dear NIKE iD,

Thank you for the time and energy you have spent on my request. I have decided to order the shoes with a different iD, but I would like to make one small request. Could you please send me a color snapshot of the ten-year-old Vietnamese girl who makes my shoes?
