A disposable digital camera hit the shelves this week at CVS. The camera has a 2mp sensor and a preview screen for reviewing and deleting photos before you bring the camera in for processing. I think I'm going to try to pick one of these up just to take apart.

Hell yeah dude. You know, the business model is probably dependent on the assumption that everyone who buys the camera will return it. Posted by: polamex at August 19, 2004 12:55 PM |

Yeah, I'm sure it is. They probobly realize a handful of geeks will go buy some of these and never return them, but are banking on the hope that the majority of consumers will use them as intended. $20 is really steep for a disposable camera though, I'm not sure if the average consumer is really going to want to pay that kind of money for these. my mom was talking about those and I didn't understand why anyone would buy a disposable digital camera. Posted by: brette at August 19, 2004 9:44 PM |

I don't understand why the average consumer would either. At $20 you could pick up like 5 regular disposable cameras. It is a good deal if you want to break it open and see what you can do with the insides though. Posted by: ryan at August 19, 2004 10:02 PM |

They have the ability to save or erase the picture you just took. Posted by: polamex at August 23, 2004 5:58 PM |
