If you are going to scam people, at least be good at what you do

So I emailed the guy with the ridiculous domain name auctions from the other day, telling him I might be interested. When he replied I let him know that I had decided to just spend $19 registering OnlineFortune500.net rather than pay the $1.6 million he was asking for OnlineFortune500.com.
Apparently my sarcasm went right over his head and he bought OnlineFortune500.net yesterday. He emailed me today offering to sell it to me $250,000. Click the "continue reading" link to see our emails.

Subject: Response to your question for item #5711317394 - Domain name for sale - OnlineFortune500.com Dear rmccorma,You asked:
"My partners and I may be willing to offer $750,000 for this domain name. Please advise."I would like to know your intent to use, your location and method of payment. This domain name has several companies looking right now. Security is of first priority. I would first like to discuss in a phone interview and then maybe in person, depending on circumstances. Please send further questions to elpoole@xxxxx Thank you.

Hah Ryan that's hilarious. It reminds me of your xbox picture ebay escapade. :) Posted by: polamex at July 28, 2004 3:05 PM |

Hahaha. I really need to make a webpage about that. There are some sites out there that have screenshots from my xbox auction. The best thing was all the email I got though. Posted by: ryan at July 28, 2004 3:11 PM |
