TV Phone

After reading about the world's smallest tv tuner chip (7mm x 7mm) I started to wonder where the TV phones were at. I can't think of a better use for the fancy color screens all our new phones are sporting. It seems that TV phones might not be too far off (for Japan at least). This week NTT DoCoMo showed off (English link) their concept of the TV phone. The phone is intended to be used more like a DVR for watching pre-recorded television rather than watching live broadcasts, although a tuner is allegedly in the works for the production model.
