The Simpsons' Voice Actors on Strike

The Simpsons' voice actors have been missing work recently while in the midst of the production of season 16. Seems they want more money. I don't know how much they are asking for, but I imagine they deserve it, or rather, the show makes enough money to justify it.

I saw Reiss the producer who was asked about Maude Flanders and why she was killed off. The answer...the actress wanted a raise.

I read some of the articles and it says:

"According to the Hollywood trade paper Variety, the dispute centres on a demand by each of the actors that they be paid $US360,000 ($A470,000) an episode instead of their current $US125,000.

The increase would raise each actor's pay to $US8 million a series. The actors work an average of six to seven hours each episode. However, the cartoon is thought to be worth $US1 billion to its owner, Rupert Murdoch's 20th Century Fox."

Jeez, first the NHL, now the Simpsons. What will I do with myself?!?!

The NHL?

Yeah the NHL is basically going to lose at least half of the upcoming season because the owners want to impose a salary cap while the players are likfe fuck that. A lot of the better stars already have contracts wiht European and Canadian leagues.

Crazy, I didn't hear about that.

Hey, at least Rick Nash got the scoring title, or at least tied with two others. At least we have that until 2005. sigh.
