MTV Cancels Real World Philadelphia
Posted by ryan at 12:38 AM in television . | 5 Comments
Driving by the soon-to-be Real World house last week we spotted some people striking outside the house. I later read that these were union workers picketing because MTV used non-union workers to renovate the house. Today Bunim/Murray Productions announced they will not be shooting the Real World in Philadelphia, only three weeks before taping was to begin. The union conflict was the primary reason for cancelling the season.

Doh! I was looking forward to getting drunk and throwing little stones at their windows to say hi. Posted by: polamex at March 17, 2004 5:25 PM |

Eh. Real World would have been good free publicity for the city. Posted by: ryan at March 17, 2004 8:46 PM |

Does this mean Real World Detroit has a chance? Posted by: agent1073 at March 18, 2004 1:31 AM |

Haha.. Real World Detroit would be the best. "7 strangers picked to live in a house for 3 months. 5 survive." Posted by: ryan at March 19, 2004 12:41 AM |
