John Ashcroft the Terrorist

During the Bush administration's first few months in office, Attorney General John Ashcroft downgraded terrorism as a priority, choosing to place more emphasis on drug trafficking...

An unjust war.
A costly war.
An endless, unwinnable war.
A war that produces terrorists.
A war based on lies.
A war that distracts us from the real threats.
The drug war.

I forget who said it...but if you take all the money used for the drug war it will be enough to burn down every poppy field in the world.

but wait then rich people couldn't get their drugs...

I have to agree with the drug war point. It has been a costly and fruitless effort. At this point can't we say it is impossible to stem the flow of drugs into a free society?
