Republican Turns New Leaf

State Rep. Gregg Underheim's fight against prostate cancer got him thinking about whether those suffering from cancer should be allowed to use marijuana to cope with the pain.

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Gregg Underheim has decided to go against the party line on marijuana by introducing a bill allowing doctors to prescribe medical marijuana, a big change for the man after being quoted in High Times as opposing decrim in the 90s.

I think it's pretty clear what needs to be done now: GIVE POLITICIANS CANCER.

In other drugwar news, Comcast has censored Granite Staters for Medical Marijuana (who have an excellent presidential candidate voter's guide) by denying them the purchase of airtime.

aside from giving politicians cancer, michael moore suggest making them black, gay or poor.

I might have to be in agreement with Michael Moore. Making them black, gay, and poor sounds like a great idea. I think these guys are all against genetic tinkering though.. giving them cancer is like a dirty nuke versus conventional nuke. The idea of making them poor, I think that's a more serious one in how our political machinery operates in general. I think, ideally our politicians would be more like poorly paid scientists -- smart, generally out of the public eye, oppurtunities for being paid off by corporates would have to be controlled somehow. It would be like Star Trek, I think.
