That was a pretty amazing read. We take a book like 1984 and think of it as such a horrifying fictitious picture of the future, but that life is a reality for so many people all around the world.

The likening to 1984 is uncanny. I think my favorite part, though, was the heated argument between the author and one of the guides about who exactly knew the Truth and who exactly had succumbed to their government's Propaganda. I'm sure both believed as much as the other that they were right. How could one ever be convinced?
