That was a pretty amazing read. We take a book like 1984 and think of it as such a horrifying fictitious picture of the future, but that life is a reality for so many people all around the world. Posted by: ryan at January 8, 2004 12:29 PM |

The likening to 1984 is uncanny. I think my favorite part, though, was the heated argument between the author and one of the guides about who exactly knew the Truth and who exactly had succumbed to their government's Propaganda.
