...book of reference and show case for the most LO-FI of digital aesthetics, the pixel.
Featuring many aspects of pixel culture from Space Invaders tiles to stitching to highrise pixels and more traditional things like typography, illustrations, and icons. It comes with a CD with chip tunes as well as a movie, 'there are two theories about the origin of the pixel', in which pixels either originate from Albert Hofmann, the father of LSD, or Enro Rubik, the inventor of Rubik's Cube. A must have for any self-respecting pixel-enthusiast, although at 59 Euros with shipping to the States you wish the world respected your currency a bit more.
