Currently Under Destruction

So what do you do when you have a few days off in January ? Go to the library and find some books about Hungary. Then look in the chapter "where not to go". Get an airplane ticket, fly to Budapest, rent a car and drive to Miskolc : the place not to be...

Fantastic, mostly black&white photos of factories and other abandoned places throughout Europe as well as Havana and Beirut. The colorful user-contributed photos in the Industrial Espionage section add a lot of interesting views of the States.

Stephen Sette-Ducati and other artists' photos of Boston's Big Dig (the $15bn urban highway reconstruction project allow more people to commute to their suburbs faster).

The New Museum's new museum looks to be pretty fresh. Some people already hate it. I like this Borg architecture.

i love abandoned-places.com. did you look at the guy's photograph. he looks like such a tool -- furthering my cause that one shouldn't judge people on how they look.

Wow, Brette, he does look like some sort of tool. An airplane pilot. Now it makes sense why he's been to all those places!

Oh my god, I can't believe I didn't look into this earlier. Holy Church Factory, one of Henk's Impossible Projects.
