Hacking changes people. My friend in grade school got into hacking and it changed him dramatically. He would take me to 'dens' where the smell of solder smoke filled the air. People were strewn everywhere shaking their mouses and typing violently. Sometimes we would simply stop at a downtown corner to buy software, and partaking in some illicit Tetris. He even tried to pressure me into it. He'd say "c'mon dude, just try it once, it's just some tiny site, no one will ever notice". And now, my friend begs for spare change from strangers to 'score' transistors. Poor guy.
