Copyshop

I'm suprised I never posted this. There is an excellent short film online called Copyshop. You can watch it at channel4.com. The 11 minute film uses 18,000 digital frames that were photocopied and then shot using a 35mm camera. Many of the frames were reused in a recursive manner, as the theme of the film is recursive in nature. The film is about a man who photocopies himself, thus sparking an infinite recursion of his copies copying themselves. Its well worth a watch. You can learn more about it at the director's website.

You ever see Trekkies? Reminds me of the girl who took a photo of all her photos of Brent Spiner (Data). Posted by: ryan at October 21, 2003 11:28 AM |
