In the same vein of kids 'remixing' video game (and by video game we basically mean Nintendo.. and it comprises an entire subgenre) soundtracks is the band The Minibosses. They've been on TechTV a few times, so in a sense they're pretty big.

Their rendition of the Megaman 2 soundtrack seriously brings a tear to my eye.
